Our philosophy is simple.

We love Australian Shepherds. Why Aussies?
Because of their versatility and the love they bring to the families who own them. We strive to breed dogs with a sound structure and good temperament.

Crocker Australian Shepherds is owned by Chris Almquist, who lives in Wisconsin with her husband and family. Chris acquired her first Aussie, Crocker, when she bought him as a family pet. Unfortunately, he was bred by someone who didn't pay enough attention to the health of his breeding stock and their offspring, and Crocker died shortly after Chris brought him home. Now, Chris proudly puts the Crocker name on every dog that she produces. She does this to honor the puppy whose life was too short and to remind her each day of the importance of producing quality dogs.

Lil's Creek Australian Shepherds is owned by Pam Heintzelman, who lives in Missouri. Pam first fell in love with the breed when she was eleven, but did not acquire her first Aussie until 1985. She started showing her dogs in 1988. Since that time, she has produced 15 champions and several dogs who have won titles in obedience and agility. Chris and Pam met when Chris bought Ch. Lil's Creek's Perfect Picture from Pam. Because they shared the same ethics and goals, they developed a close friendship. Both Chris and Pam feel an Aussie is a true jack-of-all-trades, and that they also make great family members. Chris and Pam would like to thank their husbands, David Almquist and David Heintzelman. Without their support, Chris and Pam would not have been able to fulfill their dreams.
